Lyttleton Interact Club Inauguration

Interact Clubs may be established by local Rotary Clubs at High Schools, but such clubs are autonomous, self-supporting and operate from the school and independently from the local Rotary Club.

So when this Lyttelton Interact Club was formed it was initiated by the Centurion Rotary Club, with the full support of the Mrs. Malherbe, Head, and her school management team. Ms Marti Van der Walt, head of all Art Sections and Ms Abigail Juta take care of the Club as far as the school is concerned, while Patty Matlou and Kim Geyser are our Centurion Club interfaces.

As with all school based organizations renewal is an ongoing yearly process and most of the senior initiators will be leaving at year-end to move to start their tertiary education.

The new board, consisting of the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, will take over from the start of the New Year.

We wish them good luck.

And we trust we can get their future co-operation again in events like the X-mass party for the Mooiplaas pre-schoolers at the Tswanarang centre. Meanwhile, we at the Centurion Club have processed the registration paperwork with Rotary International and the Registration Certificate has now been issued.
