“It was really amazing to be able to discuss and talk to different people.” – A Youth Conference attendee
The conference’s objective is to create the opportunity for interaction and dialogue between learners of different economic and cultural backgrounds, regardless of their community or religious background. The conference will create awareness of one another and break down pre-conceived ideas and barriers and encourage our Country’s potential young leaders.
Our annual Youth Conference has become our flagship youth event and is well known throughout the schools and in the community. Our first annual Youth Conference with the theme “Peace” was held with great success in March 2013 at Cornwall Hill College in Irene, Centurion, Gauteng. 108 learners from various schools attended with an overwhelmingly positive response being received and this has grown in numbers since then.
Some past and regular keynote speakers include:
Antoinette Sitole – Hector Pietersons’s sister, who spoke about youth and their part in the South African Struggle.<
Ryan Blumenthal – Dr Blumenthal gave an engaging talk on mental fortitude and preparedness or, as he calls it: Mental Martial Arts.
